It consists of 32 questions, each with as a 5-point response Likert scale.<\/p>\n<p>The NVI was developed based on responses from vertigo patients, and the creation and validation of the inventory is described in the following original scientific paper :<a href=\"http:\/\/rdcu.be\/mTkB\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-8846 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nvi-questionnaire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Read-the-paper.png\" class=\"grouped_elements\" rel=\"tc-fancybox-group8806\" alt=\"Read the paper\" width=\"145\" height=\"44\" \/><\/a>Currently, the NVI exists in French, but different translations are in progress.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>English<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>version is currently being translated by the team of\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\">Dr. R Srinivasa Raghavan<\/span> (Consultant Audiovistibular Physician; Neuro-Otologist) from the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust Foundation, Guildford Surrey, United Kingdom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>Slovenian<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>version is currently being translated by\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\">Prof. Saba Battelino<\/span>\u00a0(MD, PhD, Head of Audiology and Otosurgery) from the University Medical Center Ljubljana, Medical School, Slovenia.<\/li>\n<li>A <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>Japanese<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>version\u00a0 is currently being translated by <span style=\"color: #000080;\">Dr.\u00a0Fumiyuki Goto<\/span> (M.D, PhD, Department of otolaryngology, National Hospital Organization Tokyo medical center).<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>A <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>Turkish<\/strong> <\/em><\/span>version\u00a0is currently being translated by\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\">Prof.Dr.Hatice Seyra Erbek<\/span> &amp; Gulce Kirazli, PhD student (Baskent University ENT department).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These translations respect double-translation methods in order to allow the final translated versions to be as comparable to the original version, while being adapted to the language and culture of the participants. However, these translated versions will require scientific validation before use.<\/p>\n<p>Two other US teams are also evaluating the adaptation of the NVI to the American population:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Dr Habib Rizk<\/span> Team (MD.
